Our Research

Group of people talking Research Autism is determined to make a significant contribution to our understanding of what can help individuals and families affected by autism through world-class, evidence-based research

We commission, carry out and support high quality, independent research into new and existing health, education, social and other interventions designed to help people with autism.

For example, we helped to fund the first UK-based research study into the effectiveness of early intensive behavioural intervention. And we have provided funding for studies into sleep problems, into bullying and into self-injury in children .

We also listen to individuals with autism, families, healthcare professionals and academics to establish what our research priorities should be via collaborative Research Events
