Citalopram and Autism

Citalopram is a type of SSRI antidepressant, sold under various brand names including Celexa and Cipramil.

It is used to treat depression.

Citalopram is sometimes used to treat people on the autism spectrum who have mental health problems.

It may also be used to treat people on the autism spectrum who have other problems, such as repetitive behaviours or social deficits.
