Clomipramine and Autism

Clomipramine is a type of tricyclic antidepressant used to treat a range of conditions including depression, phobias, obsessional disorders and cataplexy.

It is sold under a variety of brand names including Anafranil.

Clomipramine is sometimes used to treat people on the autism spectrum who have mental health problems.

It may also be used to treat people on the autism spectrum who have other problems, such as repetitive behaviours or difficulties with social skills.
