Imipramine and Autism

Imipramine is a type of tricyclic antidepressant sold under various brand names including Tofranil.

It is used to treat depression and also to prevent bedwetting in children.

Imipramine is sometimes used to treat people on the autism spectrum who have mental health problems.

It may also be used to treat people on the autism spectrum who have other problems, such as repetitive behaviours or social deficits.
