Nortriptyline and Autism

Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant, sold under a variety of brand names including Allegron, Aventyl and Pamelor.

It is used to treat problems such as depression.

Nortriptyline is sometimes used to treat people on the autism spectrum who have mental health problems.

It may also be used to treat people on the autism spectrum who have other problems, such as repetitive behaviours or social deficits.
