Sertraline and Autism

Sertraline is a type of SSRI antidepressant, sold under various brand names including Lustral and Zoloft.

It is used to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic attacks, posttraumatic stress disorder and social anxiety disorder.

It is also used to relieve the symptoms of premenstrual dysphoric disorder.

Sertraline is sometimes used to treat people on the autism spectrum who have mental health problems.

It may also be used to treat people on the autism spectrum who have other problems, such as repetitive behaviours or social deficits.
