Residential Care and Autism

Residential care is a service where a person with autism lives in a home and requires high levels of support. The residential service may be specifically for people with autism or may be targeted for people with learning disabilities and autism or other groups.

Some residential care homes involve service users in decision making, support service users in doing things independently and accessing the community, provide a variety of leisure and social environments, and respect people's privacy.
