This section provides an overview of the scientific studies into the effectiveness of this intervention, including details of any clinical trials, which have been published in English-language, peer-reviewed journals.

We have identified more than 20 trials of cognitive behavioural therapy and people with autism spectrum disorders published in peer-reviewed journals.

These trials included a total of more than 150 individuals aged pre-school to adult. All of the trials reported positive results.
