It is used to treat a variety of conditions including anxiety and depression.
Fluoxetine is sometimes used to treat people with autism who have mental health problems. It may also be used to treat people with ASD who have other problems, such as repetitive behaviours or social deficits.
We are currently reviewing the research evidence on the use of fluoxetine for people with autism. We have not yet formed an opinion on fluoxetine but we do have an opinion on Anti-Depressants as a whole.
