Parliament must become 'autism-friendly', MP claims
Parliament should become "autism-friendly" when it undergoes a multibillion-pound restoration and renewal project, an MP has said.
Labour's Thangam Debbonaire said it would show Parliament was leading the way on the issue and help address the "chronic levels of mental ill health and suicide rates" for people on the autism spectrum.
Her comments came during a backbench business debate on mental health and suicide in the autism community, led by SNP mental health spokeswoman Lisa Cameron.
