Dear Friends, Supporters and Colleagues,
We are delighted to announce that Research Autism has been chosen to be one of the BBC’s featured charities for their Lifeline programme, the BBC’s monthly television charity appeal. A ten minute film about Research Autism and the work we do will be transmitted on Sunday 22 April on BBC1 at 16.05 (after Human Planet and before Songs of Praise!) and repeated on Wednesday 25 April on BBC2 at 13.30. We are particularly pleased that the appeal will be aired during April, which is Autism Awareness Month.
The programme is presented by One Show presenter and pop vocal coach Carrie Grant. As a mother of two children with autism, Carrie understands the constant challenges that families have to face in living with the condition.
We hope that this appeal will further increase our profile, as well as raise vital funds for our work, and you can help us to publicise it as widely as possible. A few examples of this include:
This is a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our work to a wide audience and put the spotlight on autism research.
Thank you in advance for your help, and please do let me know if you have any queries.
