The National Autistic Society and Research Autism

The National Autistic Society is a UK charity which exists to champion the rights and interests of all people with autism and to ensure that they and their families receive quality services appropriate to their needs.

In 2003 the National Autistic Society, along with a number of other organisations, helped to establish Research Autism as an independent charity, exclusively dedicated to research into interventions in autism.

Since then the National Autistic Society has continued to support Research Autism in a number of ways. However Research Autism is, and will remain, an independent charity, with its own board of trustees and its own agenda. It is, and will remain, exclusively dedicated to research into interventions in autism.
