This page lists some of the standards we try to follow in the delivery of accurate, reliable and user-friendly information.

Scientific Standards
We have tried to ensure that we follow robust procedures to ensure the scientific validity of the information on this site.
Without scientifically valid and reliable information people with autism spectrum disorders and their carers are vulnerable to many kinds of abuse.

Compliance with the HONcode includes citing all relevant references and, where possible, providing a link to the abstract or full copy of the original item. For an example of how we do this please see the citations of research studies into Early Intensive Behavioural Intervention
Website standards
We have tried to follow internationally-agreed website standards in building and then running this site. This includes providing a range of Accessibility Options.
We meet the requirements of XHTML 1.0 Transitional on some pages of this site. However we do not yet meet them on all pages. We are working through the site to ensure we do meet them as soon as we can.
